To All IFESA members,
It has come to the attention of IFESA that members have been asked to attend a meeting on Tuesday 15th March 2011 at the Training Centre.
It is our understanding that management intend to make proposals regarding rates of overtime payment for members of the brigade who deliver commercial training for the Brigade.
Members of the brigade have been subjected to savage pay cuts and many members are struggling to survive on their grossly reduced pay. An agreement currently exists between Dublin Fire Brigade and members of the Brigade regarding rates of pay for overtime .
If management go ahead with this meeting with instructors and implement proposed changes We will refer this issue to the relevant third party.
No member of IFESA should engage in any negotiations regarding changes to the existing overtime payment rates.
